From the outside, it probably looked like we vanished for a while.

After the Christmas single dropped, the socials went quiet. No countdowns. No cryptic teasers. No “big things coming soon” posts every other week. That wasn’t an accident,it was a decision.

We needed space to write.

The past few months have been about getting back to the part of this band that happens when no one’s watching. Late nights with half-finished demos. Voice notes recorded at stupid hours. Choruses that got rewritten ten times. Songs that started loud and ended quiet — and others that did the opposite. Some ideas stuck instantly, others didn’t survive the week. A lot of that time was spent listening as much as writing.

We’ve been revisiting the music that made us want to start a band in the first place, alongside stuff we probably wouldn’t have touched years ago. Old records, new releases, guilty pleasures, albums we missed the first time around. Punk, alternative, pop hooks, heavier edges, cleaner melodies — all of it fed into the same question: what do we sound like now?

That question has shaped everything.

We didn’t want to repeat ourselves, but we also didn’t want to lose what made this band feel like us. The result has been songs that feel more intentional tighter in some places, messier in others, more honest across the board. There’s still energy, still humour, still that push-and-pull between chaos and melody, but it’s evolving into something that feels earned rather than forced.

The hiatus wasn’t about slowing down. If anything, it was the opposite.

It was about letting ideas breathe, letting influences collide naturally, and giving ourselves permission to experiment without worrying how it would look online. Some of the strongest moments came from accidents wrong notes, misheard lyrics, playing something the “wrong” way and realising it worked better.

Now, as 2026 kicks off, we’re ready to bring people back into that process.

A new album is officially in the works. The songs are taking shape. The direction feels clear. And for the first time in a while, it feels like we’re building something that reflects not just where we started, but where we’re heading next.

Thanks for sticking around during the quiet.

This year’s going to be loud and it’s only just beginning.
